Privacy Policy
Instant Film Maxx is a camera app. It is built so that the pictures you take stay on your iPhone. There is no account to create, nothing to sign in to, and no photo of yours is ever uploaded to a server we control.
What stays on your device
- Your photos. Every shot is captured, filtered, stamped and rendered on the device itself. Finished pictures are written to the app's own private storage and stay there until you delete them.
- Your captions. The text you write on the white border is stored with the picture, on the device.
- Your settings. Default filter, format, flash and self-timer preferences are stored locally.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera. Required, because the app is a camera. The video feed is used for the live viewfinder and for taking the picture. It is never recorded or transmitted.
- Photo library, add only. Optional. Used solely to save a finished picture into your own library when you ask for it. The app requests add-only access, so it cannot read or browse your existing photos.
- Location, while using the app. Optional. When granted, a single coarse reading is converted on the device into a short place name, such as a city, which is printed onto the picture as a stamp. Your coordinates are not stored by the app and are not transmitted to us. Deny this permission and the app simply omits the stamp.
What leaves your device
Three services receive limited data, and none of them receive your pictures, your captions or your location.
- Apple. Your purchase is processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
- RevenueCat. Used to check whether your subscription is active. It receives a randomly generated identifier, your purchase and renewal status, and basic device information such as iOS version and country. It does not receive your name, your email or your photos.
- AppSprint. Used to count installs and app opens so we know whether the app is being found and used. It receives app usage events and basic device information. If you arrived from an Apple Ads campaign, Apple's own attribution token is included so the install can be credited to that campaign.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data. There is nothing to sell.
- We do not use advertising networks inside the app, and there are no ads.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and the app does not use the Advertising Identifier.
- We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or contacts.
Children
Instant Film Maxx is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your control
Camera, photo library and location permissions can be withdrawn at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy and Security. Deleting the app removes every picture, caption and setting held in its private storage. Pictures you exported to your own photo library stay in your library, because they are yours.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
